My Experience at Royal-T Maid Cafe♥

   I've always wanted to go to a maid cafe especially after reading about them in mangas and hearing about them on television and from my Japanese roomie. Then I found out that there was actually one here in California *O*!!! So, of course how can I possibly pass this by??
     I made plans to go here with two of my best friends during Spring Break and we were so extremely excited! This maid cafe is located in Culver City and not only is it a cafe, it is an exhibit of cool pieces of art and there is even a cute shop with unique items! Dollywink Long Mascara Review + Dollywink Eyelash No.5 Real Nude

Hello~~~so I've bought a couple of things from pretty&cute.com and that includes the Dollywink Long Mascara and eyelashes No.5 Real Nude!!

I wish I was able to buy both the Long and Volume Mascara but I'm pretty close to being broke T^T!!



I've heard by layering both of them together, there will be beautiful results♥ Once I get my hands on the Volume mascara =] I promise I'll do another review using both of them together~~BUT...for now I only have the Dollywink Long Mascara, and that is the one I'll be reviewing today♥


First off, my lashes are pretty short because I cut them off in 10th grade =_=...I thought they would grow back longer but..NEVER HAPPENED!!!

No Mascara Lashes:

I'm sure you can see the difference between no mascara & mascara~

My take on the Long Mascara is that it does lengthen as seen in photograph but of course it can't compare to wearing fake eyelashes. This mascara also doesn't budge without warm water. My normal waterproof makeup remover actually has a hard time removing this, while water easily rinses it off. The mascara also comes off in pieces just like Imju Fiberwig mascara. Another good thing is that this mascara doesn't really clump unless you layer it too much while it has already dried. I think if I were to use this with the volume mascara, maybe the results would have been better?

I wouldn't say this is my favorite mascara in the world, but the packaging is really adorable and it works pretty well for bottom lashes. I think it is very similar to the Fiberwig mascara but I haven't used that one for a long time so I'm not sure which one is better. The downside is that this mascara is a bit pricey but it is around the same price as the Fiberwig. I think I might go back to try the Fiberwig again, just to see which one is better~~



Moving on to the Dollywink Lashes~~




I've always wanted to try bottom lashes because it makes the eyes appear larger and these looked quite natural so I thought why not??

Sadly, when I wear these, I don't get why it looks so unnatural on me =[ They only look acceptable in photographs but in real life, I look FREAKY. It looks too harsh for an everyday look. I might try these again some time and maybe update this review, but for now I would probably only wear these if I'm looking for a dramatic makeup look or if I'm doing a photo shoot~~I wouldn't say that I don't recommend these because I have read such good reviews about these lashes from other people so I'm guessing it works differently for each person ^_^

Princess Mimi (Bambi Series) Sesame Grey & Geo Angel Green

I've realized that I haven't touched this blog for a while and all these product reviews I planned to do are stacking up. I think it's too much to put it all in one post so I'll gradually post them. Today's special though will be two circle lens review~~

I'll start off with Geo Angel Green♥

These lens have been reviewed many times before and I had these for a while but I've decided to review them. (I might review all my other lens too if I have time, I have like 13 pairs and I've only reviewed two of them @_@)

These lens weren't very comfy the first time but like a lot of lenses, after a little while it feels much more comfortable! The color isn't extremely vibrant nor is it that dark, but for sure it is noticeable and people will most likely notice. Especially if you're Asian most people will be curious of your green eyes =D~but it is indeed pretty. The enlargement is obvious but not overly exaggerated. Overall, I enjoyed wearing these.

RATINGS:

Comfort-8/10 The comfort level is quite comfortable =]
Color- 7.5/10 I like the color because it's not too bright nor too dark but I gave it a 7.5 based on how vibrant it is.
Enlargement-7/10 The enlargement is good but because there are so many lens coming out with larger sizes so a 7/10 for the Angels♥
Overall-7/10 since it's not my most favorite but I like it =D

Princess Mimi Sesame Grey (Bambi Series)

This lens is well known to be worn by Tsubasa ♥



I just want to say how much I love these lens! I was a bit afraid at first because the size is 15mm and I was afraid I would look alien like but it is extremely beautiful. The pattern is gorgeous as well as the color! The comfort level was just like a couple of the other lenses where it's a bit uncomfy at first and then my eyes adjust and I eventually can't feel it at all! Seriously, I love these lenses so much and just everything about it! I can't wait to try the Green apple one too!

Japan Earthquake and Earthquake prediction

I am quite sure that everyone has heard about the news of Japan's earthquake and huge tsunami. During that time I happened to be on yahoo when I saw a small breaking news sign and right away, I contacted my godparents who live in Japan to see if they are alright. I am very lucky that they are alright and my parents that were in Taiwan were not effected either.

As for many others, there have been many unlucky cases. My room mate's cousin was gone for a while but she eventually returned but the owner of the restaurant where my room mate works, wasn't so lucky. The owner's parents were missing and after giving the description of them, about an hour later, she received a call that both her parents were confirmed dead. Japan is really unfortunate during this time especially with the earthquake, tsunami, and tons of nuclear explosions that leaked radiation. Not only that, there was a volcanic eruption before the earthquake I believe. I hope that they receive as much aid as possible and I am trying to donate as well as supporting them from my school.

For those that love shopping like me, there are many places planning to donate certain percentage of their profit to Japan so look out for those items. =D
If you would just like to donate directly, you can easily go to yahoo.com and look for the "donate to Japan" sign and click on it. Help out as much as you can because I'm sure when we are in a disaster, we would want others to help as well.


Now..for a warning. I was on facebook and saw a status post by my friend. He posted about a prediction of a big earthquake in the United States, and specifically California. The prediction date is anywhere from 19th-26th of this month because those days have the highest risk. Even if you don't believe it, I believe it is better to be safe and feel foolish rather than not being prepared and facing lost and sorrow.

My Valentine's & Review~

It has been around 2 weeks since Valentine's but this is my late post as always =D!
First off, I was able to take photos with Rilakkuma at the party at Japan LA, and I got free stuff!! My boyfriend was a bit freaked out though since he's not use to seeing lolita style ^3^~

NARS ORGASM BLUSH

The past few weeks I have been trying out this blush and so far it has done a wonderful job of making me look more healthy and less dead. I love the peachy tones and it is a bit glittery which is fine with me...as long as it doesn't go all over my face and make me look dirty.

I would say the color of this blush is able to build upon if you use a little at a time. For some reason every blush I use does not show up in photographs! When you scroll down later you will notice my blush but it doesn't look very strong. DON'T BE DECEIVED. I had to slather on a bunch of blush just for it to show up on camera!! Anyways a bit off topic, but yes, the blush has a nice color and just don't use too much! I also really like that it stays on my face and doesn't complete fade~~

MY RATING: 8/10 (I have not yet found the ultimate blush I love but this one does a great job in keeping me satisfied)


NARS ORGASM LIP GLOSS


I just want to say I like this lip gloss. Just like the blush it is peachy gold toned and it might seem a bit sticky but it glides on the lips just fine! The downside is I have to wear lipstick or I look a bit dead. That just might be me though because I'm use to wearing lipsticks. Personally I don't think the price is worth it but it is pretty to have. The staying power like most lip glosses isn't very long~All it takes for it to come off is running to class and gulping a bunch of water down and most of it has been rubbed off. It isn't the lip gloss's problem..it's just that almost every lip gloss is like that.

The photos of me wearing this lip gloss will be down there along with the Orgasm blush. (It's basically the same photo) I wear this lip gloss over Chanel's Rouge Allure Boudoir~A very pretty hot pink shade and it becomes more toned down with the peachy color of Orgasm.

My Rating: 7/10 (Very flattering and left me satisfied as well but I just don't understand the hype of Nars..and it's pricey..but I like it ♥)



MAKE UP FOREVER MIX AND FIX

My makeup always comes off. ALWAYS. I hate having to touch up so often because my skin is extremely oily at times even if it is combination skin. I feel that powder makes me look more clean and not so shiny...so I have been looking for a solution.

I have tried oil control primers, creams, etc but I haven't found them to work very well. Then I read a bunch of wonderful reviews about Mix & Fix and decided to buy a small bottle and give it a try!

I LOVE IT. It works quite well because usually after one class..just ONE class, I am oily already and need to powder. This spray leaves me looking non oily and keeps my makeup on for a great amount of time. If I touch my face though, I will think it feels a bit oily but once I stare in the mirror, I can't tell at all!
That is why I think this is wonderful~~~Especially for those days where I have class from morning till late afternoon~

The cons is that the spray is hard to distribute it evenly over the face and sometimes I feel like a bunch of liquid just got thrown at me. After it dries though I feel ok and then just to be safe I pat my face with loose powder to set the spray. Also this makeup fix spray probably won't keep my skin perfect for hours but it does greatly reduce my oiliness. It would probably work really well for someone with skin not as oily as mine. Overall though, I really enjoyed this bottle and I will for sure purchase a new one after this runs out. I can have one less worry about my face now =]

Oh Packages how I love you♥

So Long Story short~My boyfriend wanted to get me something I wanted for Valentine's Day and I want a surprise but NoOoOo~~so he ended up paying for one of the things I ordered online since Free shipping on orders over $100! I ordered on Saturday and the seller shipped it on Monday so I was really happy that I received it today!!!

Anyways I'm totally going to go broke because I'm about to order more circle lenses with my lovely friends since we all have this addiction going on!

So here are the items I ordered, and they are all winter items even though it is spring?? But, I can't help it T^T!! Everything was just sooo extremely Kawaii♥♥♥ so I must have it and save it for winter =D~~Simple as that!




This was the lovely brown set my boyfriend got for me ^_^!! Too bad it's not surprising since I ordered it and he just paid for this set =___="...maybe I should make him wrap it up and give it to me on Valentine's Day just so I feel like I received a gift....




AISH. I just want to say I LOVE Pink...so even though the brown looks better I NEEDED to get this set. I think there is something about me purchasing the same EXACT item...except in different colors ^_^..hee♥




MORE PINK!! This is a winter sweater also by Liz Lisa♥ I was planning to wear this on Saturday to the Rilakkuma Valentine's Party but then I'm sure there are a lot of other girls that are into Japanese fashion and probably have this shirt...so sadly I'll have to find something more unique to wear T^T~otherwise I love the quality and the pretty bows ♥


As for my previous hauls~I haven't had time to exactly try them on or try the makeup items for a long period of time.The stuff I have tried was the Nars Lip gloss, the blush, and Make Up Forever Mist & Fix. I will review my haul further after a more long term use =]

One of these days~I'll be sure to take a clear photo and show the effects. For now, I do love the blush! It can be a little bit too much for my taste at times since sometimes I put too much on at once. Otherwise the blush is pretty and flattering to even my tanned skin! The lip gloss was pretty but it's quite expensive ^^"~~

Something I do love though is etude brand lip gloss and blush! I have been using them for a while and it's pretty and pink!! The light pink blush and gloss both give off a cutesy look when applied♥

I use Strawberry Milk Peach Water Gloss & Moonlight Shimmer Pink Blush♥






Oh yeah~the only sweater I managed to snap a photo in was my Bunny sweater without the hood♥ I also want to share the new leopard bag I got^_^ I ♥ it!! Very big and soft and useful!




I love how big it is~and it doesn't get dirty easy!!

AII~~BUSY!!

I haven't updated for a while but this little break was much shorter than my previous breaks =D!

Last week was just really crazy with my school work and week of welcome! I helped out to pass out fliers and other things for my club and it was a miracle how I managed to pass my quizzes and speeches and other stuff with how much procrastination I have been doing!

I also got all the stuff I ordered which is just wonderful =D! The hat and all the shirts I ordered were wonderful quality and the makeup wasn't bad. If I have more time I'll review it but, I haven't used them long enough to tell how good they are.

Besides all that, last week I got SCAMMED!!!! T^T IT WAS SO WALLETBREAKING!!! I was trying to be nice because I felt sorry for the bastard but what did he do??? HE TOOK MY MONEY FOR A STUPID COMPANY CALLED MTS CIRCULATION LLC >=O!!! He was like on drugs too apparently because of how much he was shaking! He even tried to make me and my suite mates feel guilty because he supposedly needed only "3 more" subscriptions. What was really stupid of me was that I couldn't see all the obvious signs of scamming even though they were like in my face! Also that stupid subscription of cosmo magazine was like $50 something for 2 years!! It's a rip off and I will never receive those subscriptions TT^TT!!! I also found it really dumb that this has been happening for the past few days and the school didn't report it!! They didn't send a freaken e-mail at all until me and my friend went and told them about our case. If they have emailed earlier, I'm positive less people would've been scammed...including me.

Well, what's been done has been done~ I can't really do anything about it but at least I know I became more aware. Next time someone comes up to me before they get the sentence out, I will say, "NO. NOT INTERESTED." If they say, "I want to go to Italy..." My friend and I will tell them to screw it and go to an Italian Restaurant and play pretend =__=!!! I feel a bit better after ranting about this problem to like every person I see ^_^ and also I went home and cried to my parents and then told my aunt and I got money =D! Still, that $50 something will never come back to me and I could have bought this Liz Lisa shirt I wanted!
